Measuring success: the KPIs that matter for creator campaigns
Views are a vanity metric unless you can connect them to revenue. A practical guide to measuring what matters.

Introduction
Influencer marketing grew up measuring what was easy: views, likes and follower growth. Budgets are now large enough that finance teams want the same rigour they get from paid search.
Leading indicators
In the first week, watch hook rate (viewers past three seconds), saves and link clicks. They predict sales better than likes do.
- 3-second hook rate
- Saves per thousand views
- Link click-through rate
Lagging indicators
Over 30 days, measure conversions, cost per acquisition and new-customer share. Use unique links and codes, then confirm with a post-purchase survey.
Prove it with a holdout
For larger budgets, run a geo or audience holdout. If regions without creator content grow just as fast, the content isn’t doing the work.
Conclusion
Pick one north-star metric per campaign and two supporting ones. Report them the same way every week, and decisions get easy.
