Template License

1. About this license

This license explains how you may use the templates you buy from Silk UI ("we", "us"). It applies to every template, and to everything you download with All-Access.

In short: use your templates in as many personal and client projects as you like, commercial ones included. Replace all demo images and content before you publish. Use only fonts you are allowed to use. Don't resell, share or redistribute the template itself.

2. What you get

When you buy a template, Silk UI grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide and perpetual license to use that template's source code, design and files (the "Template") under the terms below. The license belongs to the account that bought it.

A website, web app or other project you build with a Template is your "End Product".

3. What you can do

  • Use the Template to build End Products for yourself, your company or your clients.
  • Use it in unlimited End Products, personal or commercial, with no per-site or per-client fees.
  • Modify, extend and combine the Template with other code and designs as much as you like.
  • Charge for your work and sell your End Product, for example a website you build and deliver to a client.
  • Host the End Product anywhere, on any platform.

4. What you can't do

  • Resell, sublicense, share, give away or redistribute the Template, or any substantial part of its source code or design, whether modified or not. This includes selling or sharing it as a template, theme, starter kit, boilerplate, UI kit or component library, for free or for money.
  • Put the Template's source code in a public repository or anywhere else other people can download it. Private repositories and handing the code of a finished End Product to your client are fine.
  • Use the Template in a product whose purpose is to let others generate sites from it, such as website builders, template marketplaces or AI site generators.
  • Share your account, download links or the downloaded files with people who haven't bought a license.
  • Claim the original Template design as your own work, or use it to compete with Silk UI.

5. Images, videos and demo content: replace them

The photos, videos, illustrations, people, names, testimonials, quotes, logos, company and brand names, prices, statistics and other copy shown in the templates and their live previews are placeholders for demonstration only.

You must replace all demo images, videos and demo content with your own before you publish an End Product.
  • Demo images and videos come from free stock libraries such as Pexels. This license does not give you any rights to them; they are governed by their own licenses, which also restrict how photos of people may be used.
  • People shown in demo photos have not endorsed you or your product. Never present them as your customers, team members, reviewers or partners.
  • Names, brands, companies and figures in the demos are fictional. Any resemblance to real ones is coincidental.
  • Platform and brand logos used in the demos (for example social media icons) are trademarks of their owners. Use them only as their brand guidelines allow.

6. Fonts

Paid fonts are never included. Free fonts are yours to use; a paid font needs your own license from its foundry.
  • Free fonts: most templates use free, openly licensed fonts, such as Google Fonts released under the SIL Open Font License and loaded through next/font. You may use these in commercial End Products at no cost.
  • Paid fonts: some templates are designed for, or mention, a commercial font (for example Suisse Int'l in Apogee). To use one, buy a suitable license from its foundry first; otherwise keep the free fallback font the template ships with.
  • Each template's README lists the fonts it uses and whether they are free or paid.

7. Third-party code

Templates are built with open-source software such as Next.js, React, Tailwind CSS, Motion, three.js and Lenis. That software stays under its own license (mostly MIT), and this license doesn't change those terms. Any credits or notices a template's README asks you to keep must stay with the code.

8. All-Access

All-Access gives you this same license for every template in the store, including templates we release later, for as long as Silk UI keeps selling templates. If we ever stop, you keep the license to every template you downloaded before then.

9. Updates and support

  • Lifetime updates: sign in and download the latest version of your templates at any time from your account.
  • Support: email us about bugs in a Template as delivered. Support doesn't cover customisation work, your own changes, or third-party hosting and services.

10. Ownership

Silk UI keeps all copyright and other rights in the Templates; you receive a license to use them, not ownership. Your own content and the changes you make in your End Products belong to you.

11. Ending the license

If you break this license, it ends automatically and you must stop using and distributing the Template. End Products you already built and delivered in line with this license may keep running.

12. No warranty

Templates are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Our liability is limited as set out in our Terms.
