1. Overview

This policy explains what personal data Silk UI ("we", "us") collects when you use our website and buy templates, and how we use it. We collect as little as we need to run the store.

We never see your card details and we don't use advertising trackers. We don't sell or rent your data.

2. What we collect

  • Your email address. You sign in with it, and it identifies your account. If you add a name, we store that too.
  • Sign-in sessions. When you sign in, we store a session with its expiry, the IP address and the browser it came from, so we can keep you signed in and spot misuse. One-time sign-in links are stored until they're used or expire.
  • Purchases. We record which templates you bought, when, and the payment's ID from our payment partner, so we can unlock your downloads and keep the records the law requires.
  • Messages. If you email us, we keep the conversation so we can help you.

3. What we don't collect

  • Card or payment details. Payments are handled entirely by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record; we never see your card number.
  • No advertising or tracking. We don't use advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies, and we don't sell or rent your data.

4. Cookies and local storage

  • A sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in. It's essential: without it, accounts and downloads can't work.
  • Your theme choice, light or dark, saved in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device.

5. How we use your data

  • To sign you in and keep your account secure.
  • To process purchases and give you access to your templates and their updates.
  • To send emails you need: sign-in links, purchase confirmations, and important notices about your account or our terms. We don't send marketing emails unless you ask for them.
  • To answer support requests, prevent fraud and abuse, and meet legal and tax obligations.

6. Who processes your data for us

We use a few trusted service providers. Each handles data only to provide its service, under its own privacy policy:

  • Cloudflare: hosts the website, our database and template files.
  • Resend: sends our emails.
  • Dodo Payments: processes payments, taxes and receipts, as merchant of record.

We may also share data if the law requires it, or to protect our rights and users. These providers may process data outside your country, with appropriate safeguards.

7. How long we keep it

  • Your account data is kept while your account exists.
  • Purchase and payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting laws require, even after you delete your account.
  • Expired sign-in links and sessions are deleted or become useless after they expire.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it. Email hello@silkui.com from the address on your account. Deleting your account removes your access to downloads; records we must keep by law are retained.

9. Security

Sign-in uses single-use links and secure cookies. Downloads are only available to the account that bought the template, and all traffic is encrypted over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.

10. Children

Silk UI is for professionals and businesses and isn't meant for anyone under 16.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above, and email you about significant changes.
